This is my first blog. It took me so long to set up the whole thing that I am out of time to actually write something meaningful. But tomorrow watch out! I live a very, exciting and adventurous life so I will have plenty to write about in the coming days...but right now I have to decide what I am making for dinner.

- I think I'm great! It isn't me I can thank for that, however. I am number 5 in a family of 7 children. We were raised Catholic and prayed the Rosary every night together until I was 12 years old. Why we stopped, I'm not sure, but suddenly we were plagued with mental illness, drug abuse, physical attacks and suicide attempts. Still, we stayed together through it all and my parents were married for 50 years. Shocking, isn't it? They are the reason I joined the Army to be all I could be, earned my Bachelor's degree in Communications and Psychology, raised disadvantaged children of all ages, stayed married for 28 years (and counting) and learned that God, family, devoted friends and character are everything. I get mad when I hear someone say "I love you," and then doesn’t act on it and there is only one thing that I think I could actually kick the crap out of someone over: hurting a child, a defenseless adult or an innocent animal. I said I was great, but I’m not perfect.
